Sintra + Azenhas Do Mar + Wine-Tasting 01

Get picked up from your accommodation and start your Sintra, Azenhas do Mar and Wine Tasting private tour by spending the morning in Sintra, visiting the Pena Palace. This colorful castle is located on top of the hill, so it’s best to start here and move your way down towards the town center.

After visiting the romantic Pena Palace, you can walk through the beautiful Pena gardens to the lower entrance of the park called Pena Park.

Next stop, you can choose between the Moorish Castle, the National Palace or Quinta da Regaleira. After this, our driver can suggest a stop for a delicious lunch with ocean views.

In the afternoon you can relax on the scenic drive towards Azenhas do Mar, true masterpiece of popular architecture. This village has the shape of a crib with several ledges up the hill. Almost every house is painted in white and the village has a small bay, where an ocean pool was built.

You will finish your tour in Casal de Santa Maria in Colares for a lovely wine tasting.

Ricardo was more than accommodating! His help and service was 5 star. He coordinated so many things for us, was there to make sure we made our activities. We had 3 drivers that were personable, safe and kind. Jakim (totally did not spell this correctly) was my favorite although the other two drivers were safe and informative on our drives from city to city. I can’t say enough about Ricardo’s service. He was always available to text or call for any questions or suggestions. I would totally reserve his services again when in Portugal!

Every one of his choices was top notch from the restaurants to the hotels to the experiences. Who would’ve thought that a car trip from Porto to Lisbon would be one of the highlights of our family trip to Portugal?! I arranged our itinerary with Ricardo who was extremely responsive and helpful. Our tour guide and driver, Carlos, picked us up at our hotel in Porto in an immaculately clean Mercedes van and drove us to Lisbon with stops at Coimbra, Nazare and Obidos along the way. Carlos is very knowledgeable about Portugal and gave us a great overview of the country’s history and geography. He also provided us with helpful information about each city we visited. Ricardo arranged a lunch for us at a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean in Nazare. What an amazing way to travel between the two cities! I can’t recommend Ricardo and Carlos more highly!
