In the surrounding area, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel is worth a visit and on the cliff next to it one can see dinosaur footprints.

Sesimbra + Arrabida Mountain + Wine Tasting 01

Get picked up from your accommodation and start your private tour toward Vila Nogueira de Azeitão to visit José Maria da Fonseca winery (producer of Periquita wines) producing wine since 1878.

Here you will have the opportunity to tour ancient wine cellars, check where the oldest Setúbal Moscatels (Muscat wine) rest and hold a wine tasting at the end of the visit. You can also choose the iconic gardens and vineyards from Quinta da Bacalhôa as well.

Then you can relax on the short drive to Setúbal (major port and a connection point with Tróia) for a tour and lunch where many Lisbon locals go for fresh fish or the traditional local delicacy – fried cuttlefish.

We can recommend a restaurant within your requirements so you can delight yourself with typical Portuguese food.

After lunch, continuing your full-day private tour, you’ll be able to marvel at the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park and its charms. You will enjoy a magnificent view over the mountain range and the sea with Cape Espichel in the back.

We will continue our tour towards Palmela where you can visit the Medieval Castle and admire its viewpoint.

The return to Lisbon will be via the iconic Ponte 25 de Abril (25th of April Bridge), one of the main landmarks of Lisbon and a close relative of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge.

Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation and this will complete your Sesimbra and Arrábida full-day private tour.

Who would’ve thought that a car trip from Porto to Lisbon would be one of the highlights of our family trip to Portugal?! I arranged our itinerary with Ricardo who was extremely responsive and helpful. Our tour guide and driver, Carlos, picked us up at our hotel in Porto in an immaculately clean Mercedes van and drove us to Lisbon with stops at Coimbra, Nazare and Obidos along the way. Carlos is very knowledgeable about Portugal and gave us a great overview of the country’s history and geography. He also provided us with helpful information about each city we visited. Ricardo arranged a lunch for us at a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean in Nazare. What an amazing way to travel between the two cities! I can’t recommend Ricardo and Carlos more highly!
