This scenic town is located in Galicia in the far northwest of Spain. The squares and narrow streets of the Old Town contain Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassicist buildings.

This town is not only a harmonious and very well preserved historical city but also a place deeply imbued with faith.

The cathedral, considered as a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, keeps the remarkable Portico de la Gloria, a jewel of the medieval sculpture. However, the authentic symbol of the city is the Baroque western facade of the cathedral, which forms one of the sides of the square of Obradoiro, one of the world´s most beautiful urban areas.

After this visit, your next place for sightseeing will be Valenca with a Lunch stop in a typical Spanish or Portuguese restaurant along the way.

Being so far north in Portugal that you can travel deep within the lush Minho region of Portugal, one of the most important sights is The Valencia Fortaleza with impressive fortifications in northern Portugal and the multilayers of battlements and bastions encompass the entire historic center.

This historic center is scenic and characterful, serving as a true time-travel experience to the old days of border disputes between Spain and Portugal.

He introduced us to people and places during our 3 days spent with him, sharing with us the history and culture of Portugal. Ricardo was more than accommodating! His help and service was 5 star. He coordinated so many things for us, was there to make sure we made our activities. We had 3 drivers that were personable, safe and kind. Jakim (totally did not spell this correctly) was my favorite although the other two drivers were safe and informative on our drives from city to city. I can’t say enough about Ricardo’s service. He was always available to text or call for any questions or suggestions. I would totally reserve his services again when in Portugal!

Who would’ve thought that a car trip from Porto to Lisbon would be one of the highlights of our family trip to Portugal?! I arranged our itinerary with Ricardo who was extremely responsive and helpful. Our tour guide and driver, Carlos, picked us up at our hotel in Porto in an immaculately clean Mercedes van and drove us to Lisbon with stops at Coimbra, Nazare and Obidos along the way. Carlos is very knowledgeable about Portugal and gave us a great overview of the country’s history and geography. He also provided us with helpful information about each city we visited. Ricardo arranged a lunch for us at a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean in Nazare. What an amazing way to travel between the two cities! I can’t recommend Ricardo and Carlos more highly!

I visited Portugal in October as part of a work trip, and added on a few days of solo travel at the end. Ricardo worked with our company to organize amazing excursions and visits. Every one of his choices was top notch from the restaurants to the hotels to the experiences. Ricardo went above and beyond, making sure I had everything I needed for my solo travels at the end of the work trip. He was very thorough, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable, and generally just a lovely human being. I am not one to seek out a tour company when I travel for personal reasons, but if I return to Portugal (hopefully someday with my family), I will 100% be contacting Ricardo to help make the most of my time there.
