The monumental Mafra National Palace and Convent construction was ordered by king João the 5th in the first half of the 18th century.

This is the most significant monument of the baroque architectural style in Portugal, integrating a Royal Palace, a Basilica, a Franciscan Convent and a very important Library.

Mafra + Ericeira Wine Tasting 01

Start the tour by visiting Manz Vineyard to experience a brief explanation of the history of Cheleiros Village, visit the wine cellar and explanation of the entire winemaking process.
Wine Tasting: Experience 6 wines, accompanied by the typical Mafra bread and olive oil.

Next up on your private tour is the Palácio Nacional and Convento de Mafra.

This monumental building comprises a Palace that served as the summer residence of the Portuguese Royal family, a Basilica and Convent. Make sure you don’t miss a visit to the impressive library!

Then, you can relax on the short drive towards Ericeira, a village well known by its waves and surf camp, where you can enjoy an amazing seafood meal.

After lunch, proceed towards Azenhas do Mar, true masterpiece of popular architecture. This village has the shape of a crib with several ledges up the hill. Almost every house is painted in white and the village has a small bay, where an ocean pool was built.

To top it all off, Cabo da Roca – the westernmost place in continental Europe. Here you will be able to feel the wind and sea breeze while enjoying the natural view and fresh air of the protected area of Sintra-Cascais.

Ricardo was more than accommodating! His help and service was 5 star. He coordinated so many things for us, was there to make sure we made our activities. We had 3 drivers that were personable, safe and kind. Jakim (totally did not spell this correctly) was my favorite although the other two drivers were safe and informative on our drives from city to city. I can’t say enough about Ricardo’s service. He was always available to text or call for any questions or suggestions. I would totally reserve his services again when in Portugal!
